You don’t necessarily need to break a sweat in the gym in order to work out.
Here are some fun ways to burn calories that count as a mini work out:
At Home
1. Turn TV time into a workout
Do some squats, abs or just stretch.
2. Exercise your calf muscles while brushing your teeth
Or throw in some squats.
At The Office
1. Talk standing
You sit too much throughout the day. Standing will increase blood flow and lift your mood as well as relief back pain.
2. Add 15 minutes of walking to your lunch menu
Take a walk outside after your lunch to get some sunlight (vitamin D) and digest your food. It will also uplift your mood.
3. Have walking meetings
Walk and talk. Why not?! Get those steps in!
4. Park far away and walk
Park further away on purpose to get in extra steps.
Anywhere
1. Walk faster
Speed up a little when walking to your destination.
2. Take the stairs
Whenever you spot stairs, go for them instead of using the elevator.
3. Dance
Just dance it off whenever you can. Put on music at home while cooking or cleaning.
